Who we are
The Northeast Nebraska Suicide Prevention Coalition is a community-driven organization dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and supporting suicide prevention efforts across the region. Serving communities throughout Northeast Nebraska—including towns like Norfolk and surrounding rural areas—the coalition works to ensure individuals, families, and local organizations have access to the tools and resources they need.
In smaller communities, access to mental health resources can be limited, and conversations around suicide and mental health are often difficult to start. The coalition focuses on bridging those gaps by fostering open dialogue, reducing stigma, and equipping community members with practical knowledge. Through partnerships with local organizations, schools, and volunteers, these efforts help create a stronger, more informed support network.
The coalition’s work includes hosting educational programs, supporting outreach initiatives, and connecting individuals to available resources. By focusing on prevention, early intervention, and community engagement, the Northeast Nebraska Suicide Prevention Coalition is committed to building a region where people feel supported, informed, and empowered to help themselves and others.
